This is what I made for our first löten exericise! It was soldering whatever we wanted to, with little scraps! It turned out to be some sort of catamaran...quadamaran... thing. Anyway, it was fun. Herr Schulz-Wahle said that he´d never tried just letting a class solder at will to get used to it, and was really happy with our end results. We even put our little treasues outside in a glass case as a mini-exhibition, and other teachers have also stopped by and commented on how much they liked it.
I might take a better picture later, now that I´m looking at this one, but still... there it is! Here is also a picture of my Orchidee and view, since I´m moving out soon (but my orchid is still coming with).

(... and here are my feet this saturday when I was doing homework on the Main (river)).

Claire, you are AMAZING. Remember in soldering: heat the work, not the solder! When Grandma and I used to teach soldering our students had a hard time with this concept.
Here, here. Claire is the BEST solder-er-er in the world!
nice boat!
