That Cat
I'm going to post on Jojo's visit soon (or as soon as we take a picture together!) but in the meantime... Do you remember the visitor we had a while ago? Well, he/she comes back regularly now since it knows how much Charlie despises it. It's getting pretty annoying. Especially since the weather is getting warmer and it's nice to sleep with the window open.
Result: Waking up every morning to 2 cats hissing and clawing at each other through a (hopefully strong) window screen.
How to make cat go away?

Ist das wichtig? Anyway, the Faulhabers, friends of the Baumgarts (and ours) stopped by as they picked up Florian, their son, who was completing an internship with a company in Atlanta.

Easter Sunday - joy and food
On our 2nd Easter together (as a married couple) David and I had what one could describe as an "excellent easter". We didn't dye any Easter eggs or get to see any of our family but despite the obvious drawbacks we really did have a wonderful day.
Grass in Manhattan!
We started the day (bright and early for David) at the Fort Washington Collegiate Church in Washington Heights (the top of Manhattan). David was playing guitar for the service and I wanted to spend Easter service with him so I took the A train up to the 10:45 service. We heard a lot of different styles of music - hymns, gospel, contemporary and heard a wonderful sermon about Improv. There was actually a dancer who came out for part of improv (which was a bit much for D and I) but it still added to the overall energy of celebrating the Resurrection. We were a happy crowd. Aunt Beka would love this place as we clapped after every song. I could talk about this service for a while, people. It was amazing. Such a joyful service and such a diverse congregation. I've really never seen anything like it! Which is kind of sad.. in a way. But enough of that - David and I talked about the service for a while afterward and Mom can probably add that I talked her ear off. Actually, David didn't see me during the service (even though I thought he smiled at me - ack!) and thought I had skipped it. Not to worry, we found each other after the service had ended in the midst of the grand Easter Egg Hunt.
Next on our agenda was to find an Easter bunny. For David this meant going to Mast Brothers Chocolate Factory and buying a fancy artisan chocolate bar. Later in the day we went more mainstream and bought some Reese's peanut butter Easter eggs and enjoyed them in the park. Yum yum yum.
And our Easter dinner?! Well, we decided to end our wonderful day with a wonderful dinner prepared by... not us. Oh wait.. we're still not done. After that huge meal we went to the Chocolate Room in Park Slope and used up the rest of our gift card. Oh yea, we ate a lot.
