These are the two ideas I had, which I made small porfolios (booklets? Not sure what the correct translation for "mappe" is here):
The theme was "Für..." (For...) and as we had to do a design A and design B, I went with "Für... A" (Flatland) and "Für...B" (Color). Obviously I could have gone for Flatland and Color, but I though I would be (sort of ) clever, heeheehee. I'm doing the color brooches which will be filled with colored resin that will reflect off the shiny mirror-polished metal sheet a few millimeters behind it. The rest of the technicalities can be seen in the less than focused pictures (Sophie took better pictures and I'll get them eventually).
Anyway, I have 80 hours (Wednesday-Friday for the next 5 weeks) to make these two brooches. The Blue-ish one will stay silver and the Red-ish one will be gold plated. And now... off too polish some sheets of metal in preparation! ....yay?
(PS: As 'stressy' and scary as it is, I'm really looking forward to actually building these pieces. There's been a lot of build up.
PPS: My poll votes ended with "Lexington" and "Borrrring" as 1st and 2nd. Is everyone happy with this? Did anyone vote twice?

PPPS: I love the new background(, Bug)! All the trees in Hanau, especially your favorites on the Main river, look like this! The weather is also especially crisp and cool... in the between Fall and freezing Winter temperatures.

That looks like a GREAT idea, although I won't even pretend to understand "fur ...". I can't wait to see the final.

Thanks guys! It all starts tomorrow... ahhhh. I appreciate the well wishing though! Going to make some last minute written plans for tomorrow so that I will be set up when I get to my work bench in the morning ;)
I didn't get the write-in, Unc. Did you send it whilst in Florida?
and Lorin... did I really specifically not state that? I need it in writing. Of COURSE I would consider DC! Do I still not have to pay rent at your house? ;)
Also, I was VERY proud of the spine (color and transparency... two things that have to do with my brooches) so cheers for noticing!
