Mom and I got back from a great long weekend in the mountains where Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina come together. We were at the Southeast Angiography Society meeting in Abingdon, Va. Stayed at the Martha Washington Inn, a former women's college.

Abingdon is know for theater and we went to a play.

Mom went for a long bike ride up a mountain. Actually a van took them to the top of the mountain and they rode down. Better way to do it! Highly recommend it to Tennessee family. It's in Damascus, Va.

Then on Saturday we drove over the mountain to Boone and saw John. We did a 5 mile round trip hike off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Then did a little food shopping for John and headed for home. Too many details of the trip to relate now, but enjoy the pictures of leaves!

my brother my brother! that's what he looks like, now i remember!
those are beautiful pictures. how do you make it so that i can't click on them and make them big? i want to ride down a huge mountain too!
I don't understand why only my first picture can be made big. I load them up one at a time. I do move them around. Do you all do anything different??
M&M trees!!!!!!
And John looks well! I'm so happy he's still... alive! It was awfully exciting having mom post as him too.
I also am curious about the beautiful pictures not getting big, but I think the uncle Him piano pic might stay my background for a while anyways. Does mom plan on painting any of them?
I am very jealous of the entire trip. Looks great!!!!

All those beautiful leaves.... they're like that in Morristown too, except they're all falling in our yard!
i have leaves falling in my yard! i have to sweep them off my porch periodically... but they're not pretty-- just brown

i have no trees on my street.

a tree does not grow in brooklyn.
Well there used to be one. Now it's on your finger. OOOHSNAP!!!
I don't have trees in my yard necessarily, but there is a beautiful fig tree that belongs to the hausmeister, which has somehow grown out of garden of sawed off electric cords, broken buckets, and styrofoam (YES! Styrofoam!). We also have a yellow carpet at school..... it's pretty beautiful...
Isabug, you have a beautiful tree behind your building. Are it's leaves changing?
