John and I had to head up to Snowshoe for the last weekend it was going to be open. But first, we had to stop by Mom's Friday night art show. Here we are standing by her pictures. They looked great! And the show was a great success, but we'll let her tell you about that. Then JBIII and I got back on the road and drove the 10 hours to Snowshoe (well, there was an extra half hour when John decided to take 81S for a little while near midnight - we caught our wrong turn quickly).
John and I had a great day skiing!! We got up and hit the slopes by about 9:20 am, after getting in about 3:30 am. We had Cupp Run and Shay's almost to ourselves. Even though it had been over a year since we skied, we both did well. Widowmaker is the new news as there are new black runs beside it and it has a high speed quad. We also skied there a lot.
There were also some crazy people doing the "ski/snowboard into freezing water" thing. Yes, even John and I thought that was pretty crazy.

My paintings are from the horse on down, a total of 7 (all I was allowed). I didn't sell any paintings, but sold the necklace and earrings I was wearing that Claire had made!!! Chili Peppers with green beads; they were a hit!

First... mom's gus puppy sleepy baby picture is so cute...... she should paint 4 copies of it for all of us...
Second, IT JUST SNOWED HERE IN HANAU! I'm serious... like 2 hours ago. There is snow on my friend's car (though none on the ground). It's also freezing cold. AUWGHGHHHH. I can't wait for wedding mania to start... and come home... and somehow fly back to Germany afterwards, probably using my arms as wing since I still don't have a ticket... ;)
I love mom's pictures that John and dad had to go see and take a picture next too!!!
Also, Johnboy's looking in good form! I have to say, I kept waiting for some surprise ending where he would ski back up the hill or something ;)

Hah, you should have just come to Hanau on Wednesday. Not that far from Mannheim, and you could have played Fussball with me and used your medical skills and Wojtek broke his FOOT!
It looked pretty gross, and I didn't even see it till they put the splint (Chine) on it at the end (once he was on the stretcher)... and I was holding it up the whole time!
