The Great Snow of 2010

Okay, everybody else has gotten their snow. Now it's Sullivan's Island's turn! Apparently we had the 4th largest snowfall on record, although the final results are not in yet. 1989, the year of Hugo and picture of Papa and Baby John walking on beach in snow, was the largest.

Mom and Dogs were FIRST ones on the beach from our access! (This picture is taken as we headed back, hence all our tramping around footprints)

As to whether and how much the dogs enjoyed the snow, well, to paraphrase from the movie, Up, "ball, where, ball"

Mom seems to have run into Brett Favre on the beach. He must be taking a break from football.

And then of course we met Papa and Black Beauty out there.

The dogs wanted a shot of their own, but Gus was sad because he blinked.

So, finally, we made our way back to the house for coffee and breakfast and to get warm. Wait, what's this? A surfer? For real? Yes, nice guy although he said he wasn't sure he was really going to go in. But the waves did look good.

Wow, that's a lot of snow! Now I need to upload pictures from David's parents house in Winchester. It's like a different world...

Awesome snow picture, though! I hope Gus and Lucy are very happy playing in it.

I especially like the Gus blinking shot.

Gus later let himself out the back door and laid down in the middle of the (back)yard which was covered in snow.
