John brought a dozen red roses into the restaurant for Grandma. That might have tipped some people off because first a little 3-4 yr old girl wanted to come say Happy Birthday to Grandma. So cute. Then after dinner when we tried to quietly sing (stop it - I know what you're thinking when I said quietly) Happy Birthday, all the tables around us clapped and a number of them tried to start up conversations with Grandma. (yes, of course they were successful) And then the Queen Anne's Revenge people brought out a nice little cake with no prompting by us.Saturday, February 6, 2010
Grandma!
Well, she didn't get a puppy, but she did get a birthday card with puppies on it (see post below - We love this bench), signed by John, Claire, and Isabelle. We (B,L,J,C,B,G,and P) went in one car to Queen Anne's Revenge, our newest birthday restaurant of choice. One car partly because it was raining cats and dogs (no puppies). The picture below is with my iphone, so therefore not top quality, but you can tell everyone is having a good time (remember, Papa always says don't look directly at the camera).

Heehee - it looks like you were sitting in our table of choice too! What a wonderful, typically fun birthday ;) I also find it funny that I thought for a second that mom's face was mine. Maybe we do look alike.....
...and then I thought that I was maybe Caroline ;p ;)
These pictures are so cute too! I love birthdays, even when I can't be there!!!
So glad you were all able to celebrate with the Birthday Girl. I love the line about Papa not looking at the camera (like not looking at the sun during an eclipse?). Wish we could have been there. Great photos.
It does look like a fun time. I wish we could all be there for the birthday party! Maybe for the 90th we have a huge bash?
Sounds good to me :)
