I got a Bike!

I hate to take away from the Golf post, but I think most people have seen it already. Still, don't forget to scroll down... everybody loves a good family comment! Here is my bike! I think I got taken for a little bit of a ride at the Flohmarkt (flea-market) ...heh, but not literally. It ended up costing 39 Euro. Too much. I could have gotten it for 20 but I was alone and nice and had pretty much exactly that on me. It is also already a little broken in that it won't get out of the 3rd (? most resistance to pedal?) gear. Still, I have a bike. I HAVE A BIKE!!!

Also, we had a July (+1 Aug) Birthday party last night before last. Here are the Geburstags Kinder (Nikolaj, Me, Daniel). Twas a good time!

Ok, Clairebo: find a fellow bicyclist, explain the 3rd gear problem, and that person will jump at the chance to help you fix it. Make sure you watch and learn . . .

love,

Great pictures! Say hi to Niko and Daniel for us. and what a cheap price for bike (at least compared to Magic Bike in Boone, NC - really, they are very good and nice). John just got his birthday present bike and no doubt pictures of it will be showing up in his next post, hahahaahaahaaahaaahaaahahahahaa

Hehe, thanks dads. I had a friend look at it and he found out that somebody had tried to repair something by sticking a nail in it. Atleast I can still ride it. I'm going to try and take it to a local handy man. The front tire might also leak a little out of the ... part where you pump the air in, but I've fixed that on a friends' bike before and I'm pretty sure it's simple.

And dad... hahahahahahahahaha. Great. I will say hi to Niko and Daniel too.

Bike looks good, but main thing is ridability. Valve stem is name where you put in air. If it is not ridable, can you take back?

Bike is ridable, and wonderful in that sense. It also is big, which is in high contrast to the little folding bike I borrowed before ;)

As for the Ikea kit... that might have been the must useful 3.99 Euro I ever spent there. Nobody else has one either... they ALL come to me....
