"ART + MORE" on Valentinestag!!!

Below is the only picture I managed to take at the exhibition. ARg. Still cool though... us reflected in Lina's breacelet:

Heello liebe family and friends (I guess I always like to start out with a greeting... hmm)!

First of all, as you probably know, we had an art exhibition and sale on saturday, which I'm becoming more and more a part of in the sense of organization (ie, I advertise because I am the cafeteria lady and therefore am on first name basis with the school)... and a ton of people came!!! Even my stone-setting teacher (who I LOVE) came as promised, and his girlfriend (So cool!!!) bought one of my rings too!!! (he already has one in the glass case in his room as an example for stone setting... this is all very exciting for me ;)

So. Throughout the day we were also doing sand and sepia casting, mostly rings. It was a super cool process that I got to try out earlier in the week with Alex (in the last post, playing fussball/kicker), who organizes everything. The Sepia cast (Casting = Giessen, I think... making it a Sepiaguss) was fairly easy, imprinting a ring and other forms so that they are half and half on two sides of the sepia that fit flat together (like a peanut butter jelly sandwich, where the bread is the sepia and the ring form is indented between the two pieces of bread... but not oozing out). I think you get the picture. Here is what a ring sort of looks like with the casting canal still on :

I, as you may see, have already sawed the Guss Canal off and have cleaned up the ring a bit, but I couldn't wait to wear it ;) Yes, the stone is supposed to be crooked ;)

As said, the plastiks were well sold... Tatiana visited me from Wiesbaden and bought one (yay!), Kerstin Klix (click on that site up above!), and a trade with another classmate for cool red earrings ;) I feel like I sold more, but I was underway with something or the other (hund) the entire time. In any case, it was fun and successful. The really big jewelry show is happening this weekend in Munich too, so that's something to look forward to. I hope to see Konstantine's sibling!

I think that is enough for now! I am about to fall down on the keyboard for need of sleep!

Congratulations and all the stuff looks fantastic. Will you have anything displayed at the Munich show?

Heh, it's sweet you think I'm that good Dad, but I'd have to be a LOT better and established to be displaying anything at the Munich show.

I will, however, have friends wearing my rings who hopefully will carry my business cards with them ;)
