Welcome to New Zealand! This is what you greets you getting off the airplane in Auckland after a 12 hour flight from San Francisco. The flight was great! Boeing 777! Yea!

This is the hospital where I will be working. It is right across the street from where I am living now in Palmerston North.

This is where I live. The Carramar motel.

This is my room, the downstairs portion. Bedroom and bathroom are up the stairs. They stocked it with plenty of food for me. Very nice.

Everything is going great so far. I'll tune in with more details soon. I got on skype as selbyjrnz and I am using my regular musc email. I am getting an NZ phone today, but probably won't be calling overseas with it. Love to all.

This looks so great! I didn't know you were in a hotel? Are the people there nice? Are you jet-lagged? Did you watch a movie on the plane? Did you get upgraded to first class? Have you seen any sheep? Do you have a rental car? Should David and i get a rental car? Where should we go? Auckland? Wellington?
"If in doubt, please declare!!!"
Hahahah... I love the sculptures getting off the plane! They so beat America! Have you been watching any FTOC? Is that the only show they have in NZ? Are you going to answer all our questions?
Konstantine found John's old Thomas trains and brio tracks and they are practically spanning the length of the tv room!
Oh that looks so great. I can't wait to get there and I hope our flat is as nice as the hotel seems! What is the weather like?
Please learn about the game called "knucklebones" or "Pigs Knuckles" while there. Talk to a native about this. Also, please eat lots of abalone.
Have you seen Frodo yet?
yes, no, yes, no, yes, yes, no, everywhere, yes, yes, yes, no, yes for now, and no (I think he is on the South Island). They are super strict about bringing any food or drink into NZ, so I made sure I ate the cookies Mom put in my sport coat pockets on the way. Then I confidently answered no to bringing any food into the country. Then I got to my motel and upacked a BIG bag of additional homemade cookies - maybe 20, Pick ups from Germany, gummi bears und zwei balistos. What is the lesson here? Not sure. Rhys Darby, the conchords manager, is on the cover of my SKYWATCH magazine in my room - their version of TV Guide. He is apparently celebrating the launch of Comedy Central on SKY tv.
Anti bacterial showers for 3 days are your penance!
thanks o great Peddie One. Hast du kommt in Deutschland zuruck?
I feel like I didn't write that last comment (mom?) but it's still funny..... maybe I did. Sometimes I don't remember my own humor!
Ich bin weider in Deutschland... man. I want to be in New Zeeland (I think that's how they spell it)! Glad the cookies made it! And is Rhys Darby the real manager, or Murray? Or both?
