We are flying into Auckland and have not gotten a connecting flight to Palmerston North yet, but thought Claire and John might like to see this link in case they go to Auckland for a few days. Apparently this hostel was voted the best and is really cheap:
One of my high school friends who now lives in Indianapolis said I was only supposed to be in New Zealand when FOTC was there, and they were performing in Indianapolis tonight. Arrrgh! Air New Zealand cleaned my golf shoes for me, free of charge, because they didn't know what might come into the country on my golf cleats. Sweet!
Haha... New Zealand seems like a dreamboat! How nice of them to clean more bacteria off your stuff! I'm going for a walk in the mud and packing all my shoes!
Also, I really don't know if I'll have much money... we can still stay with you rents, right?
who are the other 3 most popular married couples ahead of you? Talked to a pretty cool kiwi on the plane and told him FOTC were making a name for themselves in U.S. and he said "those idiots?" haha BTW I'm in love with NZ
In addition to eating abalone and bringing back some knuckelbones while in Aotearoa, do your best to investigate the "tangata whenua" (people of the land). The Maori people considered themselves "ordinary"; in fact, that's what "Maori" translates to.
