My sweet husband and I had a very nice weekend, thanks for asking.
Yes, it is true that I was a bit sad to not be in sunny Sullivan's Island... but I made do with what I had: a huge city full of treats and one sweet husband.
So on a rainy Friday night we went with our friend, Jens, to a free concert at the Prospect Park bandshell in Brooklyn. We saw Dumpstahfunk, Soulive and John Scofield. And as you can see in the above picture we were a bit wet, but were also TOTALLY prepared. We oo'd and ahh'd where necessary (mostly during Scofield solos) and enjoyed watching the hippie crowd dancing around us.
Oh, you're wondering where David is?
There he is. We had a nice time.
We also had a nice time on Saturday. We went to the Men's Warehouse and bought David a suit. Very handsome.
Then I went to Prospect Park (again! without rain!) and then to Free Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum. I just wandered around a bit with friends and then a group headed back to our place. Had some nice food, drink, games and then called it a night.
I can't really remember what we did on Sunday except for go to church. The weather sure has been crazy this weekend.

Thanks for your weekend news and pics. We really did miss you!! Now the Mathews have left and it is utterly too quiet here.
We had a really good time with the hillbilly Selbies and urbanite Baltimorians. The ghost of Caroline was briefly experienced.
John is sailing with Ocean Sailing Academy yest, today, and tomor, and really did a lot with the nieces and nephews. Your weekend looks great! They say NY has had a relatively cool summer. Does it seem that way to you?
It did and I loved it... now it's starting to warm up but then I get to my office where it is freezing. I will probably have a cold soon.
Drink a glass of red wine every day, it really helps prevent a cold.
Follow mom's advice. I've been drinking lots of New Zealand beer and it doesn't work very well.
That weekend looks fantastic! And aren't those great coats (thanks again Mombo)?! I have been using mine skiing and it's STILL the best.
