Happy Labor day/Farbfest in Dessau...

Guess what... I actually did something this weekend! Why is that, you may ask, since you seem to do EVERYTHING on EVERYweekend, besides this weekend being Labor day weekend... a weekend where you're actually supposed to be doing something anyway?

Well, dearest families and friends... I am in Deutschland where there is no Labor Day (so quit getting on me when I forget! Nobody reminds me about these things!), BUT.............. I still got culture'd!

This weekend was the Bauhaus Farbfest!!! The color was RED, as were we dressed. I went with Sophie (Dad, the one you think looks like mom when she was younger, though I can't see it at all aside from the red hair and her being smart) and many other friends, camped out at their paddling(/canoe and kayaking) club, and really enjoyed ourselves. We also saw some other interesting historic parts of Dessau, like Sophie's best friend Friedl's house, which is completely restored by her father to be a "Denkmal" or "historic site" (closest translation I can think of), as well as their wooden sailing boat, which is also way cool and restored from 1919, "Blume."

Pictures coming from that maybe... as perhaps from Neuseeland... man, it's easy to lose track of time. Thank goodness for Isabug postings.

Nice! Glad to see you are getting out, hehe. We had a nice quiet cookout day here and then at the end of the day I helped Jay Reigart take his boat home via water, then went to Rumph's to pick up our car and the manatee they always talk about was there! Mom didn't get to see it, though, waah.

Claire your english is getting worse. Not that I'm one to talk, especially since I still live in the states..

Other than that I like this picture and I like the idea of you all dressing in red. Pictures!

Hmmm... are you serious about the bad English? I'm worried myself...

Dad, sounds like a great day! Too bad mom didn't get to see the manatee, but maybe if they've got the ol' freshwater hose out in November, it will come be seen for her birthday ;)

I miss you guys and your "wahs" and "hehes"... when do I get to come home?

Pictures to come sort of soon!
