Beka boo birthday

We all know the main event of the winter season! Of course it's Beka boo's birthday. This year was exceptional, beginning with dinner at Queen Anne's Revenge hosted by Grandma and Papa. Beka was able to show off her necklace (sorry about the lighting). There was, of course, the general merriment and good food and good drink (I particularly enjoyed a whole rack of ribs). Service was good and we were then ready to return to 2602 Atlantic Avenue for cake!
The preliminary festivities to the cake and ice cream included John and Claire Bear enjoying Beka's singing fish (Don't Worry, Be Happy and Take Me to the River). J and C also did an impromptu singing rendition on the piano of a song that seemed to be a ballad about Beka Boo!

We then had cake and ice cream on the porch while Beka opened her present from us - a nice matching scarf. There was the usual problem with Papa trying to text his tennis friends during dessert, but Grandma bonked him on the head and he stopped.
A great time was had by all!
Happy Birthday again, Beka!

It was so great! You also can't tell, but that picture of John and I was in between extreme bouts of laughing. At one point Grandma was dancing a long, I think Aunt Beka was clapping, Dad was taking pictures, John had fish going, vibration caused a musical christmas card to fall off the table and start playing, dogs and cats everywhere....... we missed y'all ;)
