From most recently to earlier this month (since I know which picture I want people to see first)... HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Yes, Thanksgiving is in November, and no, it does not include a goose but rather a turkey... nonetheless, my compadres and I are practically finished with all possible exams and projects and books to turn back in, etc (we still have the oral exam monday/tuesday) which meant that it was finally time to take the much-postponed holiday and celebrate it to it's fullest! For those of you to whom the location seems familiar, it is Made in Hanau, a lovely place not only for jewelry but for spending thank-full time with friends! Everybody brought stuff and everything tasted great (thanks to all who assisted with the goose).
It was followed by dancing instead of football, for which we found Christmas lights in a wish (not really) to continue on with the chronological holidays at the wrong time! It is also possible that somebody broke out the wigs and several people started using staplers and thermoses as microphones during an 80's hits extravaganza, but it's not like there's any photographic evidence of that.........
MOVING RIGHT ALONG (gah, have I written this much already?) .... I had a visit from ::drumroll:::
Preston!!!
Of course, he got along famously with all the ZA people, and conveniently came in time for the big exhibition of our final jewelry pieces (ie, party!). We were very happy to get to spend time together and recall the times way back when we were in college and life adventure camp (seriously... over five years ago?!!), as well new adventures checking out the high water from all the snow melting...
And stopping into München to visit my friend Franziska on super long escalators...
and get a little Weißwurst Frühstuck and Füßball in with this lot...
So, in future posts could possibly come the visiting of the rents and Mannheimers, plus life in Hanau without school! How will the BadBear come up with a scheme to make moolahs? Will she ever get back to hitting 10,000 steps a day on the pedometer for Unc Him's fitness challenge? What unlucky fowl will cross her steps next? When will she ever make her own blog and learn how to organize pictures all cool, like the Isabug and Auntie G? ONLY TIME WILL TELL!!!!
Ps: I will be starting in a little workshop in association with Made in Hanau while doing a guestsemester (exactly like it sounds) at school for enameling since I'll also be translating a book about it from German to English. In other news, MY oral exam is coming up on tuesday in front of like 10 people so... drück mich die Daumen!

Brilliant posting!!
Two days until we leave for hanau! Bis Mittwoch!
Peddiemonster. A few things.
1. Great post! I'm happy to see what's going on in your life!
2. Your website comes with a blog (I just hid it) so it will be super easy to blog for the world and update about jewelry stuff.
3. Does Christian still think he is in SC? The rest of the family is bundled up!! And they are so cute!!
4. Hi Preston!
5. That water is insanely high.. I want to visit you...
I LOVE ALL YOUR COMMENTS!!!! And yes - those kids were extremely more bundled than Christian! Doro also keeps suggesting that I can come live in their basement room and be an au pair forever instead of rent, and make my jewelry... which I feel like is the same offer I got from Gwen. What is it about me? ;)
PS: Yes, I think I will start blogging jewelry endeavors as soon as I REALLY graduate (ie, after friday).
PPS: PARENTS COMING SO SOON!!!! We will miss you, Buggy, but have fun with Mathewses! (and come visit me sometime this year before I possibly move home, possibly also in time for Alice Uflacker's wedding (anybody else going?))
Woah... I might seriously take the Thilos up on that offer.... and then I'll visit you in the basement all the time!!
Blog when they arrive!!
And January is also ISABUGISBUSYMONTH!
