Art brag and Middle-aged (but really 50 yrs old) birthday party.

Yay to Isabelle's pictures! Keep 'em comin'!

I had a dream last night that Uncle Henry was my teacher, and was teaching the class in Spanish. I kept looking to my friend from Columbia (Daniel... you remember him, parents) for help, but a guy from Ukraine was speaking fast Spanish with Uncle Him already so... was weird, just as all dreams are. ANYWAY.......

Michi (Bene's mom) had a rockin' 50th birthday party. It was in a castle basement (more or less... what's it called, Boon?) and pretty much everybody was dressed to impress. As first example, the lady of birthday herself, with, in her words during one of the speeches, the most important person who ever came into her life, and Eva! (awwww...)

And then there was us!

There are tons more from where those came from, btw...

And finally, a little brag (please forgive).
We finally hung up pictures of what we've been drawing in class for the past two semesters (I say "finally" because the other classes have been hanging drawings up all year), of still lifes and so on. We also had a minimal amount of frames, but I found the old ones in the back room. THEN, I went out of the classroom for some reason or another, and came back to find my teacher and Nico (my classmate who's actually 32, married, and has a kid... but still cool!) going through all my nude-drawing session pictures, which nobody had seen. They loved them! So much so that I got to hang five frames of my stuff up, not including the one with my still life! The five on the right end of the hallway are mine! And not only that, but I get to keep half the frames when we're done! I was really excited.... still am... just thought I'd show that maybe that art degree at my university helped for something ;)

These are a pictures of my purse and my favorite model (more fun to draw), in 5 minute poses.
I COME HOME IN A WEEK!

I know!!! Michi... I'm guessing? That store could close up shop after we all went through it too. I think I was the last person to get a costume!

And that you weren't invited... I would take that up with the Baumgarts. I seriously said like, 10 times, that you so needed to be there. Eva was cool to hang out with though.

Still.... you needed to be there!

So you bought all the costumes? or rented them? I like Monika's horns!

I wish i could draw like you!!

Of course your artwork is great, but it is good that you are humble. They must love you there, just like all of us. See you soon. Dad

I think most people rented them... there was a cool costume place in Mannheim where Monika and I went friday evening when I got in, and I think most other people got them there. Her horns were GREAT! We can tell who she is even in the badly lit home movies!

I wish I had a deer head like you! You are a great artist! Did I tell you that Capers and I made postcards for her Africa benefit and then admitted to each other that we always try to decorate exactly like you with isabelle lines and stars?

And dad... I think I'm not being humble enough... it is the art brag post. I did think of, however, you saying that sometimes you need to elbow your way in a little, and I figured I should really go for it. Get the name of Selby out there!!!

Ps: On the subject of bragging... the school loves me. Which is good, because I love it, but really... they all know who I am now. Yay school!
